Tessilim Adjayi
Between traditions and COVID-19
photograph, 2020

In Ewe country in TOGO, traditions and customs specify that the masks are made so as not to forget the dead. This is how the two Yawo brothers take their masks made with their loved ones to not only protect themselves, but also to tell others that COVID-19 is killing and killing their loved ones. Respect for barrier gestures is therefore essential. Insofar as wearing masks and washing hands have already become our habits, these two young people here emphasize social distancing in the strict sense of the term. The street photography here makes my approach flexible and allows everyone not to be infected by the Coronavirus after all these times of confinement.
